The Effects of Google Search Plus Your World On SEO
Google Search Plus Your World (SPYW) was introduced by Google on January 10, and if you though the Panda update made a huge change, SPYW seems to be far more significant and may change the way we promote your products and content. The Panda update focused on promoting quality content as stated by Google’s chief engineer, Amit Singhal:
Our advice for publishers continues to be to focus on delivering the best possible user experience on your websites and not to focus too much on what they think are Google’s current ranking algorithms or
signals…. Search is a complicated and evolving art and science, so rather than focusing on specific algorithmic tweaks, we encourage you to focus on delivery the best possible experience for users.

This year, Google has taken their efforts a step further. Google clearly state they want to personalize searches, and have introduced the following three features:
- Personal Results- will only show you results highly relevant to you. Posts, videos and photos that either you created or were shared with you by your contacts.
- Profiles in Search-both in autocomplete (Google Instant) and results. This feature enables you to quickly find related profiles and Google+ pages, so you can follow highly targeted content and people instantly.
- People and Pages– helps you find people profiles and Google+ pages related to a specific topic or niche. You’d be able to quickly follow them and join their community.
What Does It All Mean?
The recent SPYW changes mean Google are pushing their social network, Google +, to the top of search results, making Google + virtually essential for internet marketers. Google clearly shows they value communities and discussions over the traditional SEO strategies. These changes, along with the recent Panda update put more focus on social activities ,trust and the buzz your content produces rather then it’s perfect structure.

Do The New Google Search Plus Your World Changes Mean Traditional SEO Is Dead?
Traditional SEO is far from being dead, after all most people don’t use Google+ and I doubt they’ll ever use it to the point where any search query you submit fills with your personal content. Traditional SEO still have great value and will probably continue to, yet providing value , discussion and community are taking a major leap forward.
